Frank's Franks was started in 2006 just as a DBA with a small umbrella cart selling hot dogs and doing some family events.  Slowly, we moved into the public eye.  We incorporated in 2007 when my two brothers and I joined forces and purchased two large mobile umbrella carts and an enclosed Food Wagon.  We tried every venue from Columbus Circle downtown to softball fields and little league games.  I can tell you where not to sell hot dogs because we tried it all. 

 

Then we went big time and contracted to serve lunches at the four Home Depot stores in Onondaga County - Cicero, Clay, Camillus and DeWitt.  We did this for one year at a frantic pace.  We were required to be there from April 1st to November 15th, seven days a week, from 6am to 3pm, with no days off.  After the first year my brothers left to pursue other ventures and it was just me and a few good helpers.  My sister, Martha, and a good friend named Andy stayed on to work at the Home Depot Store in DeWitt, our most profitable store of the four.  We garned a well-earned reputation from that experience.  (To this day people ask when are we coming back.)  My sister, Martha, was tremendous in helping me grow the business and I'm deeply grateful for her steadfast loyalty.  There were days when it would hit 95 plus degrees and that was a difficult environment to work in.  But every day during the summer she showed up with her smile.

 

Well, we have now grown and expanded.  We travel out of the county to all parts and places in the state for events, parties and benefits.  We are well known for fast, friendly and fresh food and service.  We have the largest menu of any mobile food truck in our area.  We have done wedding's (for 250 people), graduation parties, birthday parties, craft shows, antique shows, car shows - you name it, we've done it!
